AJ Rogers Makes A Statement At Myrtle Beach

 

If you asked AJ Rogers coming in to the SRST Southern Super Series presented by Our Insurance Options Myrtle Beach 150 his emotions with two races remaining in the regular season, there is no way he could deny the mounting pressure to win.  Wednesday night, 25 drivers took the green flag after 8 drivers failed to qualify.  AJ Rogers would bring out an early caution, getting into the 60 of JP Penuel.  Rogers took the EOL and the outlook was bleak.  Knowing he had a great car, Rogers patiently worked his way back to the front.  In a fierce but clean side by side battle with Jacob D Smith, Rogers prevailed and took home the checkered, qualifying for the postseason.  Jacob D Smith, Scott Austin, Joe Burchette, and Kris Stump would round out the top 5.

Up next on the schedule is the Last Chance Qualifier race from Iowa.  Non winners only will be allowed to enter.  Any driver who has started a race this season AND finished (not DNF) is eligible for the win and you are in prize at Iowa.
